Trained in medical management, surgical management and IVF, Smeltzer most recently completed a reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at Duke University. With her eagerness to join the team and some seriously impressive credentials-(did we mention that her thesis project is a first-of-its-kind landmark validation study?), it sounds to us like Tiegs’ decision to head home to the Peach State was a win for everyone involved. “I aspire to heighten awareness of infertility as a relatively common condition and provide options, hope and results for patients seeking treatment,” she adds. “I’m looking forward to assisting as many patients as possible in creating the families they desire,” she shares. Now that she’s settled into her new role, Tiegs is ready to dive in. “It’s not only an incredible asset, but undoubtedly vital to ACRM’s success,” adds Tiegs.
